Whenever you connect your social channels to the TapInfluence platform, that's through our social connections system. It's the system that allows you to connect your Facebook, Twitter, and other social accounts to the platform.
What is the technical improvement here?
When you connect your social channel to the TapInfluence platform, that allows us to verify your work is complete, provide your content to the marketer and get you paid. Sometimes, the individual token we get from your channel will expire or become disconnected. That happens over time or when you change your login details.
Our new system will make it clear what channels you have connected, what channels are not yet connected, and what channels need to be re-authenticated to give us a new token, all in one easy-to-manage place!
How do I make sure my data is updated for marketers?
Check your "Media Kit" frequently to make sure you have connected as many channels as possible. That helps your overall reach. We also recommend that you re-authenticate all your channels on a regular basis or whenever as you accept a new campaign assignment.
What's going on with the site-wide pixel?
We heard your concerns loud and clear and we have officially cancelled the plugin.
Instead, we are allowing influencers to add a pixel to your blog that will allow brands to see more meaningful data regarding audience patterns, audience demographics, and traffic patterns. A few points to keep in mind:
- While encouraged, the Pixel is 100% optional.
- There will be no PII (Personally Identifiable Information) about your visitors collected.
- We are not gathering data on your other sponsored work. We simply want to provide our brands with more advanced trends and patterns about your audience, the ROI you drive, and more.
- The Pixel will lay the groundwork for future influencer features, like automated verification and shared audience with brands.
